Breeder guarantees your puppy will be delivered to you in good health.Your puppy has had a first round of immunizations, been dewormed, and been spayed or neutered. We want you to be assured of your puppy’s health, however, and so we require that you have your puppy examined by a veterinarianwithin five days of delivery, then you will need to sign this contract and return it to the Breeder. If your veterinarian finds your puppy to have chronic or serious health issues, we will immediately arrange a full refund of the purchase price to be sent upon both the return of puppy and a report issued by the examining veterinarian. In lieu of a refund, you may return the puppy and receive a puppy from the next available litter (Breeder’s choice). If you do not take the puppy for the examination within five days of delivery, this contract is void.Any request for refund or replacement must be made within the five day period.
Breeder Responsibility
We provide a guarantee for 2 years after the date of sale against debilitating congenital defects. In the event the puppy exhibits symptoms of a suspected debilitating congenital defect, the Buyer must supply any requested records to the Breeder within seven days of informing Breeder of the defect.Upon diagnosis reported by two veterinarians (one of Buyer’s choice and one of Breeder’s choice), Breeder will refund the purchase price of the puppy.Breeder does not require return of the pet.Buyer has the option of requesting a replacement puppy rather than a refund (with mutual agreement).A diagnosis of hip dysplasia will require a Penn hip report.A diagnosis of progressive retinal atrophy requires a report by a certified veterinary ophthalmologist.
If the puppy is euthanized or is disposed of without the second opinion from Breeder’s veterinarian, the Buyer waives his/her rights to a replacement puppy or financial payment as compensation. This warranty does not include:viral illnesses, infections, improper bites, hernias, hypoglycemia, addison's disease, giardia, or coccidosis. It does not include illness due to ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals or physical injury.
Buyer Responsibility
From the time Buyer receives the puppy and the completion of puppy shots (about 4 months), it is the Buyer’s responsibility to keep the puppy away from public places such as pet stores, puppy kindergarten, or parks for example.A puppy’s immune system is not strong enough to be exposed to potentially deadly viruses before the puppy vaccinations are fully completed.
The Buyer is responsible for the care of the dog as a companion pet and will provide quality dog food, exercise, indoor living quarters, reliable fencing, and regular veterinarian care. The Buyer is responsible to keep the dog fit and not allow the dog to become overweight, as this may contribute to joint problems. The puppy should not participate in strenuous or repetitive jumping exercises (i.e. Frisbee jumping or jogging with owner) in the first year of life. This can be detrimental to bone development and contribute to injury.
Limitations of Contract
Breeder is under no circumstances liable to the Buyer or any third party for consequential, incidental, or special damages resulting from the dog or related to the dog. This contract applies to the original Buyer and is non-transferrable should ownership of the dog change. If an examining veterinarian finds the dog has been abused, subjected to trauma, or neglected, the guarantee is then null and void.
Upon execution of this contract all veterinary care, and its costs are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.
Buyer shall return signed contract within ten days of delivery of puppy.Failure to return signed contract will render the contract null and void. Buyer and Breeder agree this contract represents the entire Agreement between them, and no other representations, warranties or guarantees have been made regarding the dog.
